The Lord spoke to me yesterday his timing was perfect
He asked if livin' through pain to get him and was it worth it
And that simple question it got me thinkin' a lot
Cuz what I went through don't compare to neither Jesus nor Pops
They both gave sacrifices
The Father gave his son, Son gave his life
What they did for me was so priceless
How could I be so vain
Like I didn't deserve the pain
Like eternal life is something everyone just should've gained
I'm not perfect and I'll admit it it's true
Instead of asking why, I should simply be thanking you
And when the days get rough, just be happy I made it through
Relinquish this self entitlement blame first attitude
I'm only human, made in the image of God
Nothing more than your creation Lord get rid of my pride
Pump my heart with the truth and diminish the lies
See what was void in my heart is where my Lord now resides
