This song pulled at my heartstrings, if you know it ill love you forever

It was a nice indie type sounding song with the clean guitar, and reverb all through it. It's definitely less than 20 years old but the production on it was clean so its probably newer.

Male singer and a lot of harmony laid into the singing, and two lyrics i remember are "She don't wanna be seen, ay-yuh, ay-yuh, ay-yuh, she's everything to me, ayuh ayuh"

Everything else was muddied up by the streamer talking, each lyric was spaced out by a bit of instrumental, like pausing between each line.

    144bpm.

I'm looking for a song that has a lyrics that goes somewhere along the lines of

"I like it better when you don't think"
    Or
"You're better when you don't think"
It was something like that. I believe it was a male singer, maybe british. It had a bit of a poprock/indie vibe. It might have been about sex/love/selfdestructive tendencies. It's a semi fast song. The line might have been the last one in the chorus.

Something like that. I'd really like to find it because it driving me insane looking for it

This was a debut song in the 1990s (I think). It was melancholy and mentioned a faded beauty (wife? And possible suicide or OD) and possibly Hollywood. Solo male artist and might have been a one hit wonder. None of the search engines or AIs have given the correct answer. Not a lot to go on.

It was a country singer, male. I remember it back in the 1990s but it might have been older. I remember getting the song on tape from my gran and listening to it so much I've got the lyrics memorised but they might be wrong.
Google can't help, Chatgpt can't help and I've been searching for it for literally YEARS.

I'd like you to meet a little friend of mine, we've been together now for quite some time.
walking along the highways north and south of every county line.
people say we've got a future together, all set to go far,
lady and me me and my guitar.
Now lady and me we've had a real good time, travelling from coast to coast, we made a lot of friends along the way, baby we had more than most, people say we're made for each other, never more to part. lady and me, me and my guitar.
don't wanna try to change the world, don't wanna make the headline news. we just wanna play our music any old time we choose.
Someday soon we'll find a place of our own where we can really settle down and we'll play sweet country music and we'll laze until the sun goes down. People say we're gonna make it together someday be a star, lady and me, me and my guitar.

Possibly an old folk song about a jester? From an old friend, though I wouldn't be too surprised if over these years she has also let it slip from her mind.

"___ the grown men would run, and the children would hide
and the women would faint to the ground
he had bells on his shoes a baton at his side,
___ ___ ___ when the Jester came to town"

is one part of it, I believe a part of the chorus. It has at least two or three parts. I have recorded a shoddy rendition of what I remember in this message. I'd just like the lyrics and, if anyone knows of it or can find it, a recording of the full song for posterity. Thank you for your help in advance!

New age song need help locating , reward
Here is all I remember. It starts out with a monologue, the male voice making fun of all the new age stuff, crystals and healing and All of that stuff. And it ends up talking about how your thoughts create your reality And the guy says "choose a good one" and that goes off into a very catchy tune.

I've heard it But I can't find it. I've been told It's not on any of the music Streaming Services that you can only get it on the artist's little website.

And I have no idea who that is. I would offer a small $20 reward via venmo if anyone could help me find it.

Also any suggestions about where else to post this request would be welcome. Thank you

I'm going to guess this to be from the 90's or 2000's. The lyrics are from the perspective of someone on a small plane and there is a repetitive phrase in the song alluding to either the "hum of the engines" or the "ring of the engines" going on and on. Male singer. This is driving me crazy. Seems the title is only one or two words but my random title generator is worn out and hasn't hit on it.

Ok, I cant take it anymore. I have to ask if anyone can come up with the song and group. It's gotta be mid-late 70s and it's kind of in the groove of maybe ambrosia or poco or player maybe. I cant tamp it down. It's a soft rock funk with a smoothish delivery, and starts with 'Hello my ...'? Then moves into something about 'way back in 1962' with some answering bells in there (ding ding ding dingdingding).. then 'is it cool. is it cool' (cruel maybe).. 'oo oo oo oo-OO'. Ooof I'm sure none of this makes any sense, but these are the things i can pick out from the old melody in my head. Omg please, this is drivin me bananas.

The story: he goes in and sees a beautiful girl playing the harp. She grants him a wish and he wants another night with his true love.

His family locked her out of his home, and went to court for his inheritance. Cant even remember tge name of the film it was in, but i checked tge credits at tge tine and the song wasnt listed!

    The LYRICS are
Is it you. are you near
Is your heart the one I hear
I can almost hear you calling Here I am,
Oh my love. come to me, be my eyes, and help me see,

"There was a farmers daughter named Luella, the prettiest for miles around. She had never had a fellow until one day he came to town. He was a drummer from the city. ... tall silk hat and walking cane." Finishes by saying now every time she gets a nickle she blows it on soda pop.

    Hello guys and girls,

I'm looking for a presumably 90s clip which I saw in tv as a young kid a few times, with little understanding of English. The clip is about a bearded country singer in a cowboy hat, who is playing guitar on his porch, telling his (grand?)children about the time he has been visited by 3-4 space cowboys (on horses, but somewhat sci-fi looking, a little like the Brave Starr cartoons).
He takes a spare horse and rides with them out into space. He yells Yippie-I-Oh several times and lists a number of cities seen from above, like Budapest. There's a somewhat sci-fi synth sounding to the song.

It's definitely not Jamiroquai, Steve Miller Band or Nsync, which come up with the space cowboy search term. Johnny Cash Riders in the sky is the closest I found, but it is a different song and clip.
I can still humm the reprise, it is quite distinct, but nobody I know remembers it. It's a mistery for me, I would be very glad to find the song.

I know this song exists, but I can't remember the name, lyrics, or melody. It's driving me insane. It's a song in a folk/shanty style with a name in the convention of "The Song of the ___" or "The ___ Song". In the third (or final, if there were more than three?) verse, a livestock animal belonging to a named farmer learns to dance a jig. The first verse and chorus are a cappella, the song is sung by a female lead with male harmony and male and female backing. The chorus (or maybe the first verse?) includes something along the lines of "we are ___" and "take your shovel and your own good shirt" (those words might be wrong, I really can't remember and they haven't given me any success yet). It's highly likely the the group that sings it is Irish or Scottish, and the song might be traditional rather than original. Please I will literally pay you if you can figure it out for me.

Looking for a pop song that sounded relatively (early 2000s at least). It was sung by a solo male voice and was upbeat and exciting. It had a lot of instruments and almost sounded orchestral. It sounded like it would be a video game boss theme except for the singing. I think he said "heart" once but not sure. I was also really sure he sung "I'd have nothing else to live for" near the end of the song but I've been scouring and can't seem to find any song that matches with that lyric so that may also be wrong. I heard it in a Meijers.

Howdy! Help with this song, please. It's sung by a drunk Ward Bond near the end of an old Western, "Only the Valiant" (1951).

Looking at the subtitles, part of the lyrics go:

Tis whisky, not love brings you here at this hour
Oh, Barney, dear Barney I can't let you in
From the look in your eye

    And later:

If I was a human instead of a soldier
I'd go to my captain and speak to him true
I'd say, "Me poor bucko, you're heading for trouble"
"Captain, dear Captain, it's trouble for you"
It's not me own self that I'm thinking of Captain
Captain, dear Captain, I'm thinking of you

"When I think of you, I think of sex. But when I think it through, I'm glad you're my ex."

I have never heard this song. My best friend in high school heard it and recited these lyrics to me. It is likely from a New Wave or Punk group from the late 1970's. He said that is how he felt after he he broke up with his long-term girlfriend.

Note: My friend died when he was just 29. I think about him sometimes, and I'd really like to hear the song that he thought was so meaningful to him.
If that isn't a song, it should be! Very clever lyric.

Can anyone help me find a song that is about someone trying to break into your house? It is very loud and has lyrics that is hard to understand due to the slamming/thumping of the door as the person is trying to break in. The lyrics has a deep raspy voice that taunts you as it breaks in through the door. Nearing the end of the song is when the person breaks into the house. The song is niche and may have less than 500,000 viewers. I learned about the song when chatting on an old MMO called Cubic Castles. I found it on YouTube originally and I have tried to look for it on there and search the internet, but I couldn't find it. The artist is a male who makes songs that are very loud and deep fried, similar to the breaking into your house song. The background video is set in the inside of a pitch-black house with the front door closed initially.

I am remembering a song has the chorus saying/chanting "we will" in response to -- I cant remember what -- questions I guess... could it be for a baptism or other church related occasion? (wedding?)

Probably not what you're looking for, but just in case, DeGarmo & Key's "Who Will" from their 1989 "The Pledge" album fits that description. The chorus joins in with the "we will" response at about the 2:16 mark. It's on YouTube.

The night we first brought our adopted daughter home 22 years ago we heard a song with her name, Rosa (or maybe Rose?). The rhythm and melody made me think of Los Lobos, but I wasn't able to find the song in their catalog. The refrain included something like: Rosa, you're going to break the boys' hearts. . .

Looking for a song I heard on the radio, might have been a mash up but I'm not sure.
Was a male singing. Had a kinda early 2000s r&b/hiphop feel to it.
Only lyrics I could make out were something like:
She from California (California was repeated a lot throughout the song)
    Something about having sex appeal
Something about making her legs shake

Not a lot to go off of lol but hopefully someone knows the song/mashup

It might be called "Leyla" but it's not eric clapton. It's not in English, but I don't know which language. Something with a lot of "ish/ush" sounds, like German or a related language. A woman sings it, and it's very calm relaxing music. I had it on an ipod in the 2000s so it's at least that old, probably older. Snippets of parts I can remember, just guessed at because it's another language, are "Dunya, Layla...." and "Layla, Julia (with an H sound like hulia)..."

It is animated and at the beginning of the video a penguin is going up an escaltor to be a dj in front of a big crowd. Here are the lyrics of the song. I would like to find the group or writer of this song:

You are Beautiful to Me Song Lyrics

All at once I’m falling deep in love, does it show.

    Passersby wonder what we've got.

In your arms is where I want to be heaven knows.

Everyday you’re in my every thought

I just have to tell you you’re beautiful, beautiful to me.

In my life I pray for someone who just allows me to be me

    So free

Now that I have confessed to you how I feel

I want to tell the world, everyone should know

You’re the one the only one I love, this is real

With every beat of my heart it grows

I just have to tell you you’re beautiful, beautiful to me.

In my life I pray for someone who just allows me to be me

I just have to tell you you’re beautiful, beautiful to me.

In my life I pray for someone who just allows me to be me

    So Free

Didn’t know just what I looking for

Didn’t know just what I’d find

Didn’t know that you would give me such amazing joy

    Such peace of mind

I will always be right here for you

I will be right by your side

It is you that I adore you make me fly beyond the skies

I just have to tell you you’re beautiful, beautiful to me.

In my life I pray for someone who just allows me to be me

I just have to tell you you’re beautiful, beautiful to me.

In my life I pray for someone who just allows me to be me

    So Free

    (Musical interlude)

    Total song length 3:37

It was a rap song I believe. It was on the radio on the way home from work and it started with the guy saying something along the lines of " this goes out to my friend you know who you are but I wont say your name." It talks about him trying to save his friend from addiction and also at some point during the song says "how can you believe in yourself if you wont let others believe in you" These are not exact lyrics but the general statement of the sentence.

I don’t really know the lyrics, but I remember this song being everwhere around 2008-2013 or somewhere there. I know it’s sang by a male and female. The male part is a little trap than a rap

There’s a line that sounds like “ I stand by your side, even though …. Hurting me”(by female)
    “Sitting in a kitchen …. a desert”(female)
    “Nobody can tell me now……..”(female)

    And there’s an ending line with “E N J” or “E N G” (it’s sang in a spelling kinda way.

I am looking for the title to a very old song recorded on a record with only one side. The lyrics - "What's your hurry, what's your hurry," said Jim Johnson to his pal. "What's your hurry? What' your hurry? Are you lonesome for some little gal? Did some gal throw you down Bill? Why are you roamin round Bill?"

"I ain't got a gal" was Bill's reply "and that's the reason why I'm always.. roamin around, just roamin around. I ain't got no regular place to go, I'd like to build somebody a bungalow. I'll settle up and then I'll settle down if I could find a wife who ain't no crank with a big fat balance in the savings bank, she could take me home and make me stop roamin around."

"Don't be crazy, don't be crazy," said Jim Johnson "I've a wife. She's a daisy, she's a daisy. See what she has done to my young life! I felt the same as you Bill, wanted a nice wife too Bill. So if you want a wife, why I'll resign and I'll stake you to mine , then I'll go roamin around, just roamin around. I won't have no regular place to go won't have to build no galee a bungalow. I'll settle up and then I'll settle down. If you take my wife you will earn my thanks. You can have MY money in the savings bank. She will take you home and MAKE you stop roanin around."

Trying to remember this one song. I found it on spotify, by some indie artist. It was a sad song about this old ghost town, left over with empty coal mines that the narrator/protagonist of the song is reminiscing on. He lost his brother in the 'summer of 19(blank)9" If i remember the number somewhat correctly. The song ends with him visiting and visiting his old room, seeing it, and hearing his brother's voice saying 'It's just like you left it". Its been several years since I heard it again, and am desperate to hear it again :')) It used to be one of my favorites.

I’m desperate to find this song I heard 5 years ago. Can you identify this dark indie alt pop track with female vocals? I only remember a few of the lyrics. This song could be considered electronic, pop, indie, r & b, slow jam, chill wave, edm, or alternative.

I’m usually a beast when it comes to finding songs online with a couple words from the lyrics. Even very dancy techno with minimal lyrics. But for some reason, I can not for the life of me, find any info on this song. I’ve tried every song finding app and website. None have been able to identify this track. I’ve even posted the lyrics in song identifying forums and chat rooms with no luck. No one seems to know a thing about this song. So that is why I am here. Hoping that someone on here can identify the song. I just really really really liked this song SO MUCH and can not see my entire life go by without it being an option to listen to on an as-needed basis.

These are the only few lyrics I was able to remember…

"still, I feel you running up my spine and when we meet it feels like a deja vu....that special kind of voodoo that you do"

and towards the end of the song I remember the very last few lyrics were...

    "strange reality...sweet melody"

But that’s it. That’s all I have to go by. The song had female vocals and was a strange mix of “slow jam/r&b/pop” meets “electronic/edm/dancy beats”. It had somewhat of a darker tone to it and I’d classify it as being alternative/indie/electro/art pop. Maybe something like Grimes, Lorde, Banks, Billie Eilish, Sneaker Pimps, Warpaint, Lady Gaga or Halsey. I’d say this song probably came out some time between 2010-2019. Maybe as early as 2000. Only thing I can tell you for sure is that it was released before sometime before 2020 (2000-2019).

Looking for a title/artist. Refrain goes:
    "Catch me when I fall, save me from the tears;
    Though I might look strong, not as I appear;
    Though I might seem brave, really sad and lonely;
    Hear me when I call, in a voice so faint and small;
    Catch me when I fall".
Violin throughout, female vocalist, very melodic and melancholy. Have it on my phone but no title/artist. Not even sure how I have it. Probably something my kids downloaded and somehow got synced.

I have this song on my phone. Sounds like it might be country but maybe not. The refrain goes: "Catch me when I fall, save me from the tears, though I might look strong, I'm not as I appear, though I might seem brave, I'm really sad and lonely, hear me when I call, voice so faint and small, catch me when I fall." Lots of violin in it.

Here's the link to said video.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZMFxLWHxn4 Song starts at the 7:19 mark. The other song I'm trying to find in the same video starts at 7:40. Hi.There's a song I'm looking for, it plays throughout season 4 episode 9 of 21 jump street 'Mike's P.O.V.', here's a link for it:
    https://youtu.be/Xhv18ty5U9M?t=1247
It must have come out before 1989 because that's when the episode aired.

I've shazamed and googled the lyrics but I can't find anything, please help!

The lyrics I can make out are:
like the sheep beneath the shepherd
like the shepherd beneath the stars up in the sky
never stop to ask the question
    never stop the bus
    never wondered why
i love it turn my head and walk away
i'm feeling up the clouds are made together
i'm willing turn my head and walk away
i'm starting little late but what's the difference

So, I don't know the artist, song title or lyrics but I do know the story. A YouTuber many years ago, wrote a song about the tragic death of his sister (in a car accident, I think). She left behind her kid(s) and he was heartbroken, not knowing how to explain that his sister (the mother of the kid[s]) died. I think the singer was probably early 20's and the kids were really young (I think)

Looking for a song played over the credits of a movie from early 2010's. Country song by one of the big male stars of the genre. Same vibe as "What made you say that" by Shania Twain. I remember it being an odd choice in comparison to the rest of the soundtrack. Found the video on youtube in bad quality as a apparently it is/was rare and wasn't available on my streaming service, which is why I never added it to a playlist. Singer is standing with a black cowboyhat (and maybe a long coat) in the rain singing most of the song and I have a feeling the song is early 90's. Lyrically it is describing a relation teasingly - he calls her his little devil or something like that.

it was a song about bestfriends' love and possibly drifting apart or betrayal,
i heard it in 2017, on a YouTube lyrics video the thumbnail was the singer in a red top
    singer: female
song published: most probably 2010s or well, 2000s but can't be later than that cause the singer looked quite young

if someone can find it or remembers it i will be so grateful :'))) been trying to find it for too long

So... the beat for the song is This Girl by Elijah Who, but I'm trying to find a song that someone sang over it

    Lyrics (roughly from memory):
I'm addicted if you want me to
My T-Shirt starts to smell like you
You're the only song I'll need I'll never hum a different tune
I never wanna see you blue
    There's nothing that I wouldn't do
So many other people but you're the one in my field of view
    ?You're my ?edguality?
    ?my sincere apologies?
    Attention's hard to catch
But you capture it so flawlessly
    ???????
    Sign me up for mistreatment
    I'm selfishly dreaming
    That you're ????
We spent our lives believing that romance is real and we've seen it and I want one to call mine
    I'm just a guy?????
Tryna figure out what she's about

Okay so at the time of writing this I haven’t found anything concrete yet but Baby Blue by Action Bronson has the line “
I know the thought of me succeeding makes a lot of people nauseous” which is something I think, nauseous isn’t an often used word in songs
and the song The Reason by Brett Eldridge has the line: “The thought of me crying would make you disappear”

I know these aren’t exact matches but maybe they’ll help! If I find anything more I will let you know!

Hello, I’m hoping I can get some help finding a song, it’s a honestly astonishing how much I’m pretty sure I remember of this song and yet I haven’t been able to find it anywhere. I do have auditory processing issues but they’re not that bad, so while there’s definitely some margin of error to these lyrics I’m pretty sure they’re pretty accurate:

    I believe it opens with:
“This hotel is cheap and my pillow stinks and there’s not a single thing to say it’s Christmas Eve”

And also has the lines “Oh Jesus, Joseph Mary, oh Saint Nick, I know I’m not on your list but I need a bus ticket” and something about “because it’s a long road” and it may have also had the line “no im not dead yet” but I’m not certain?

I vaguely remember the music video being a guy walking around a town with a lot of lens flares or something? Any help would be appreciated! I’ve tried for years to find this song and somehow I just can’t!

i heard this song in an animatic or something. i think it’s japanese or korean or something like that. it’s a guy’s voice and the english translation is about a guy who sends letters to his crush for fifteen years and he becomes really famous for his love poetry but his crush never responds. he gets in an accident and remembers his crush is dead. does anybody know this song?

A song likely from a musical of which the male villain hates women or something and so experiments on them at some institution? The song is a duet between the villain and the surviving girl - possibly the villain asking her how she would escape and showing how she can’t - with lyrics sounding like this I think: Female voice - “I tried to run” “I’d use the key” and Male (Villain) - “Where would you go” “Who would you tell”(?) “Despite all I put her through she’s still alive”(?) It was likely on broadway or something as well.

Please help me find this song that gets occasional play on BBC Radio 1 Dance Anthems, but eludes all of my searching without title and artist:
    - Dance track, sounds like club dj
    - ‘Work’ repeated in lyrics
    - Female vocalist with American accent speaks over music, saying things like: ‘You know how I get all this? I work. I work all the time. You got to work. I don’t want any lazy people!’
    - It is not Missy Elliot
    - I thought it might be ‘Work’ by Honey Dijon, but this track has no female spoken voice on the Spotify and YouTube Music versions

I love this track, very inspirational both musically and lyrically… exuding ambitious Manhattan attitude mixed with hedonistic dance floor abandon! I would be very grateful if someone would identify it so I can purchase and stream. Many thanks!

Someone please identify me this lost obsecure song.
The song might be from 80s or 90s or 2000s
Quality loss in the song quality

    YouTube video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UU-U-GaPPmc

The song might be familiar with some people, I am saying again I don't know the song creator, or his name, the song is mysterious.
And I just found it in a post on watzatsong site if you familiar with this site.

    (first verse lyrics)

    Baby your so cruel
    You're treating me bad
I heard you want to leave
    And my minds get mad
You really like to watch me crawl across the floor
Stumbling in the dirt and begging for your love
I know it makes you happy if I would play the fool
Drowning in the teardrops I cry each night for you
I have to, (pretty darling/preview darling),
Why do you act so cruel?
    Now to make a change
    So whatcha gonna do?
I'm not certain about the chous yet, but it could be

    (Call me now/love me now)
I'm wondering (where you are/where you hide/who you are)
    Hurry up
My heart will fleet or fly
    And may I (know/go)
    (Why/my) dreams stop (negative/letting you)

Also, (last line before it cuts of, begining of second verse)

You took my heart and flew???

Please i hope anyone inform me with the song video
If you got a tape, send me the full song in mp3

Heard a song on the Thai BL, Playboyy the series & I really wanna find it. It’s right at the end, in the last scene of Episode 6.

    The lyrics are:

    Let me stay
    Put your arms around me
If we stay here like this is the only place where i wanna be
This is as long as we go
It’s the only place where I wanna be
Somehow wherever you are, I’m still in the crossfire

Track sounds like a very chill club tune. Really slow, sensual tempo.

Something like "secrets of the heart, i'll never know, you did'nt (or 'never') show" for the chorus. This song is mid-level energy/tempo and has an electronic, alternative sound (think Crystal Castles). The vocalist is female and this song was introduced some years back - around 2019 or earlier. Thanks.

I remember as a kid the pain of moving so much and letting go of friends. There was a country song I heard that pained my heart so much and would bring me to tears because it resonated so much. I'm in therapy healing from a lifetime of pain and trauma. Since this song has stuck in my head so long after, my therapist thinks it will be really good to find the song so we can listen to it while working through it. I can't remember it well enough, other than the deep feelings of sorrow and can't find it online. I believe it was in a music video where a young girl was in the backseat looking out the back window waving and crying as they drove away. The mom said something about how hard it is saying goodbye or letting go... or maybe it was the childs grown up self as it carried over into adulthood. I can't grasp the actual words used, but something like that.

Something that goes "please, stay" --> goes high pitched, there's a beat, and then stayy.
I think there's also something like 'can we just TALK about this' or 'can we not TALK about this'.

"Honey, sit with me, she said,
    Just for the night,
And we'll make believe we're leaving
    All of this bullshit behind.

    Been here for forever,
And all I have to show
    Is a bad attitude

Hi there. I'm looking for info on a possible 70's song I think is called "With Or Without You". The chorus goes "don't you know, I'm gonna survive, with or without you, and I'm gonna be happy, with or without you. I'm gonna live, most of my dreams, with or without you. But I guarantee, life is never so sweet as when I'm with you". It's a pop song sung by a woman, and I'm pretty sure it's a 70's tune (or it could be early 80's). Anyone recognize this song? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Nicodemus came to Jesus one night, and he said,
truly God is with you because of the miracles you do.
    Jesus answered clear and plain:
except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of the Lord.
Jesus told him, you must be born again.
He kept on saying, you must be born again.
You may ask us how do we know?
    Jesus said so.
He said, you must be born again.

Need this song, I have almost all of the song lyrics but for some reason, the internet, my phone, the AI shazam thing doesn't work. It's from 1996 Alice Through the Looking Glass Fairy Tales on Ice with Nancy Kerrigan. It's the main song. It plays twice. It plays at the very end when the two kids are dancing. It plays when Nancy Kerrigan is doing her thing earlier in the show. Here are the beautiful lyrics to this beautiful song, please help!

    don't give up the game
or look for someone else to blame
everyday people try and judge you
    hold your ground
    never let them budge you
you are sure to win the race
    oh yes
although it seems you've run in place

wherever you go there you are
you can run from yourself but you won't get far
    however you change
    one thing's true
whoever you are will come shining through
the answers you need you keep in your heart and deep in your heart is the lock and key

The lyrics I could understand are: "Think of all the time we've wasted,

It's from the hilarious video below.

I'm not sure if the words are even right cuz I cant find it online, but the main upbeat chorus had something like "...running with the snakes...I wont make a name" there was definitely 5 emphasized syllables in the chorus for each line. I heard it a few years ago and have been searching since. It sounded hip-hop and I thought it sounded like Drake at the time.

I stumbled upon this inquiry on Reddit - the original poster had recorded part of a song in a store with his phone (hence the low quality recording) about 10 years ago and has been trying to identify it ever since. I'm now invested, too, as I feel like I know this song, but can't quite put my finger on it. Here's the link to the recording:

    https://vocaroo.com/1c2h9lFDiUqg

Part of the lyrics, as I hear them:

"How did I [end up?] by your side"
"This is how I make you feel, this is how [we grow apart?]"

But I had absolutely no luck searching for these lyrics and other people have heard completely different lyrics, so not sure if those will be of any help.

Potential artists people have mentioned: David Byrne, The Cure, Magnetic Fields, Talk Talk, Jens Lekman

    Thanks for the help

I wrote a reply to this '10 years ago + inside a retail store ' recording, but I'm not seeing it. That is based upon less than the final 30 seconds of the 1:51 time.
i ended up listening to the recording 2Xs. The first time, I thought I could hear a band/group/singer called The Cure. And, since The Cure became famous in the years before this recording, it made sense. However, the second time I listened to it, it sounded much older. More like something from the 60's.

I personally use YouTube to learn how to repair, and fix issues around the house. I'm kindly suggesting that the original song seeker possibly use YouTube, or whatever, to figure out how to adjust sound with an app, &or either find someone who will help by eliminating most, maybe all of the excess noise. Given my answers are so far apart, that they are ridiculous. My suggestions are genuinely polar opposites., so best of luck to both of you.

many thanks for the effort! I still hear something by the Cure or some other 80s new wave, maybe synth pop, band. Maybe an unknown, early Depeche Mode song. However it seems like people hear fastly different styles and lyrics with this one, unfortunately, that's why it's so hard to find.

Thanks so much for your comment and effort, I appreciate it. Unfortunately, since the recording is not mine and the version I posted is already the cleaned up version, there is not much I can do about the quality. I thought of the Smiths as well, but couldn't find any match. That being said I didn't look super far into them because I'm not a huge fan, so maybe I should give it another shot. Thanks again.

This song was played on a wedding playlist and I made a mental note to try and find it. All I can recall is "who are you... who are you!" It's modern and a poppy/ hop hop song. I searched justin bieber / chance the rapper to try and find it with no luck. The who are you! part wasn't a main part of the song just like a rapper throwing it in in the outro. Thanks for your help with this vague description, it's driving me crazy.

Does anybody know who sings this great Gospel song. The lyrics to the best of my ability are.

    Oh dear lord I pray
That you show me the way
    Ever learning to grow
Teach me what I should know
    That I might understand
Your perfect word your perfect plan

    Grant to me amazing grace
Until I see you face to face

I try to catch a glimpse of you
though a dark glass I see through

I set my feet to run the race
Until I see you face to face

    With your spirit here inside
I walk by faith and not by sight
Help me lord to keep the faith
Until I see you face to face

Those who doubt will never know
til it's too late and hope is gone

    Til the heavens roll away
and we see you face to face

I try to catch a glimpse of you
though a dark glass I see through

I set my feet to run the race
Until I see you face to face

    With your spirit here inside
I walk by faith and not by sight

Help me lord to keep the faith
Until I see you face to face

Help me lord to keep the faith
Until I see you face to face

I am looking for this lyrics for a talk I am giving.

The song is about the relationship of a couple as they spend their whole life together. At the end of the song, they are older and sitting on the front porch together. She mentions that she wants something but does not outright ask for it. He sneaks off (as I remember) and brings what she wants back.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

OMG please help me figure out what song this is!! The song starts off with a male singing, "Do you want this doggy bone? Some other assorted lyrics I believe are, “I feel a bone coming on, every time I see you. I feel a bone coming on, girl I know you want me”. Some others are, “The way you rub me down, is really making me horny.” Also, “I wanna make you sweat, girl, I wanna make you wet”. I’ve been trying to figure this out for seriously over 20 YEARS. If I recall correctly, the CD label/sticker was brown. There appear to be multiple male singers that are African American. The album probably came out in the 80’s or early 90’s because I found the CD as a child in approximately 1994-1996. Thank you so much for your help. For some reason nothing pops up on searches for any of these lyrics.

    Lyrics:

This was on an album I had in the early 90s. The whole album was about parenthood and children. It included The Circle Game by Joni Michel, but the album was mixed artists. I'd love to know the album, but the particular song I'm looking for had lyrics that went, "Take my hand, its been a long time, since you were young enough to be afraid. It was some girl singing over it in the intro and then the drop was something with BRASS or some instrument that sounds so f***ing awesome. It's a typical bass boosted song from a car playlist or such.

I can't really remember the lyrics but the girls sings something along the lines of "uuuuuuu aaaaa iii so baby light the fiiii-uh-re" and then the beat stop and it drops and it goes so f***ing hard.

I'm trying to identify a song. My google skills have failed me. It's a Sam Cooke-ish ballad from the POV of a young man about to be drafted -- he maybe singing his plea to Uncle Sam directly. Key lyrics: "I don't wanna go" and "I don't need a four leaf clover". The song makes reference to Uncle Sam, KP, and peeling potatoes. It's in 6/8 time, and most of the song has the same chord changes as Unchained Melody (the classic C/Am/F/G7). There is a bridge section, twice, where the chord progression changes. At the end of the bridge, the backing vocalists can be heard singing either 'No, no' or 'No more.' At the end of the song the lead begins talking rather than singing during which part he mentions that he'd rather not be 'peeling potatoes.' Then the song fades out.

help me find a music video of a love song probably from the 90s or 2000s of a black male singer, on the video you can see him driving along side a woman apparently her girlfriend or fiancee and they were probably running away, ive also remembered the scenery being quite green, they seemed calmed and he was singin along his song, maybe the genre is R&B, and i think they were on a jeep tope of vehicle, not sure, sorry for the lack of details

Hi, I’m looking for an indie or rock song, I’m not sure which, but I know that a part of the chorus goes something along the lines of ‘falling around us like bullets and bombs‘. It’s a male singer, with mostly bass and drums, with lots of reverb on them. Any help would be great this has been stuck in my head for a week and I can’t find it.

Can anyone tell me who orginally sang a song called Not Like You? It was covered by Nick Carter live in a concert in Chicago yrs ago.
    It starts like this:

I don't care about the summer breaks
    Don't know much about love
    And I don't care
About the look of my hair
    'Cause I'm not like you

I've been flirting too much with the creeps
This is what I've been told
I took a walk on the wild side of life
    'Cause I'm not like you

    thanks!

its a sad indie piano song, sang by a male(!), the song had a long title(!) and i think the name also was long and had the name "matt or matthew" in it and a surname but im not certain(!!) the song was long-ish 4-5 min i think and the lyrics definitely didnt start until the 1-2 minute mark, the beginning of the song was long. it sounded simple but not totally acoustic, it had a sort of magical feel to it at the end (i dont know what instrument makes that *sparkly* sound) there were drums picking up slightly at the end too. the end was louder than the beginning i remember. i think the lyrics mightve included words like "clouds" or something about the universe (i literally dont remember at all) or maybe something abt fences or houses or painting was mentioned, my brain is fried im trying to find it for years i found it in 2018 (i think) so it cant be really recent. (if you want a similar feel its like sleeping at last songs or syml) please help me find it, its seriously such an amazing song thats why it stuck with me thanks if anyone can offer any help T_T.

Refrain: Hope for a world of loving hope for a time of giving hope is a word worth living let’s live together

We’ll sing a song there’s one for the children with laughter in their eyes and two for the world who tears within their hungry cries and three for the mother feeding love into their lives and their’s one small word we all need to say

In the second verse, he says that he understands how hard it is to go against your own pride and ask for help. In one verse he also says something about the person losing their cool but calming down again as always and going on. The song is mellow and doesn't have a lot of instruments playing along, I think one was a guitar. (It is not the one form Helluva Boss)

¨Buckets and blood, buckets and blood,

I don't remember the actual lyrics or tune, but there was a part of the song where the two jovial singers of the pop song joked about how that when they are rich that they would build a clubhouse and have a mini fridge, and there would be meats and cheeses all laid out for them, "and all the fanciest mustards... dijon mustard!" What song is this? It's driving me crazy!

I'm trying to find a soft rock song I heard playing recently on a store Musak with a fem vocal repeating a lyric something like "Maybe I'll live in your heart, maybe you'll live in mine" Does anyone recognize something like that?

I think the song is from the late 70's early 80's. It was a b-side and had a sax solo and male vocalist. Kind of bouncy funky pop (similar to Michael Sembello style). It included lyrics similar to "She's up at seven, cold water beading on her face" "pitter patter, she's at it again" "I'm inside out because of you"

    I still remember that girl,
She told me she was called Alaska,
And I realized, in that moment I needed her,
That was the moment she climbed aboard the train to Nebraska.

I still remember, that girl who followed me,
She told me she was called Alaska,
And I realized, in that moment I needed her,
That was the moment she climbed aboard the train to Nebraska.

I was in the car with my brother and a song came on with a female singer that had lyrics like “I was looking back to see if you were looking back to see” and “take your shot are you in or are you not” in the chorus. That song was soooo good, any ideas?

My sister and I sang a song as children long ago. Lyrics include:
    Rest sleepy redbird,
    Head under wing,
    Dream of the flowers,
And the robin's call of spring.

You can do a playlist search thru google if you know the date and approximate time the song played. Just saying, "yesterday night" doesn't help when I see your post for the first time, 4 days later.

It's a jazz song. Contains lyrics something like 'don't you wanna stay with me, don't you wanna play with me?' It is not the Seeb x and Bergan one. It's not Jason Aldean. I've only heard it played live in a small club. Maybe the guy singing it wrote it! It's very good. Any assistance greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Help me get rid of my earworm!!
It’s a really happy/sweet song with a guy just wishing you all these good things. I don’t know the actual lyrics, but it’s something along the lines of “may you always have the wind in your back, may you find happiness ect, ect”.
I’ve been looking everywhere and can’t find it. It’s not an old song.

Some of the lyrics are so let me take your hand, and we can dance around, by the Christmas tree, drinking red wine Christmas lights are here for you my love

this is an 80s song with a singer that has sort of a sophisticated, mature voice, but not a top singer. The song sounds like it describes dancing all night, but the phrases are all sung haltingly, a few syllables at a time, but its hard to understand a single complete sentence, as if he might have a subtle accent. one part says "and we" then hits each syllable stopping with the syncopation of the song, and I can't make out the words. This song comes on the classic radion stations regularly. It says "and we"..."_____!"..."_____!"..."_____!"...then repeats that syncopated pattern a few times, and somewhere are the words sung closer together "(something) take them by the hand: One part sounds like it should say "we danced all night:, but seems to sound more like "dance on dance on"
