City Girls is an American hip hop duo from Miami, Florida, composed by members Yung Miami (born Caresha Brownlee on February 11, 1994 in Miami), and JT (born Jatavia Shakara Johnson on December 2, 1992 in Opa-locka, Florida).The duo recorded their debut studio track "Fuck Dat Nigga" in August 2017, promoting it through social media and clubs. Later that year, the track was included in Quality Control's compilation album Control the Streets Volume 1.In May 2018, they released their debut studio album Period. In November, they released their second album titled Girl Code, which features Cardi B, Lil Baby and Jacquees. City Girls contributed with guest vocals to Drake's song "In My Feelings", with Yung Miami appearing in its music video. In August 2018, they released a documentary titled Point Blank Period.In November 2018, their album Girl Code entered the Billboard 200 at number 63, with the remix of "Twerk" featuring Cardi B entering the Billboard Hot 100 the same week at number 92.
