She was 40 something ...and I just made 18
I heard her voice come up the street... this priceless thing
And she would often make her own songs up...with a six string out of tune
those cheap guitars don’t lie

So I took my turn… And tried to give back
Everything inside that I had kept intact
And I would only make my own songs up… Until I wasted most of those afternoons and then I’d stop
