Lungelo Mabuya, also known as LuE, was born in Mt Fletcher, Eastern Cape Province, South Africa, on October 4th, 1996. He grew up partly in Carletonville, and then later moved to Orlando West, Soweto, and In the Gauteng province. His exposure to music was mostly from his uncle’s hip-hop CD’s and the music his uncle listened to which was hip-hop. Growing up on the famous street of Vilakazi was where he either heard about a lot of famous artists visiting the Mandela house or saw them. It had a great impact on him growing up as a child
