Vette Jordan

Vette Jordan is a hip-hop artist, originally born in Lafayette, LA but grew up in Baton Rouge, LA. He started rapping and writing music at age 10 but didn't begin to take it seriously until around age of 14 in his early highschool years. He has always looked at music as more than a way to be rich. Vette Jordan does it for the dream. He has always had goals of being on television and at every award show, acquiring many awards but most importantly winning a Grammy. Growing up his musical influences were the heavy metaphorical rappers of his time such as Ludacris, Lil Wayne, Eminem, Kanye West, and of course Biggie Smalls. Being able to create a rhyme scene or pattern of words to set up for a "killer" bar as the finish is just an outstanding talent in his opinion Lil Wayne in particular has always stood out to him in having that talent. Because metaphorical rappers have always been his influences, Vette Jordan’s sound is mostly based off that background of music. He focuses mostly on bars or "punchlines" that makes you realize the cleverness after processing it through your mind. He focuses on the bars that will give you that "how did he think of that" feeling on the inside. Since that's what stood out to Vette Jordan the most in music while growing up, he always wanted to be able to create music like that and have the same affect on people as the artists he looked up to had on him. He wants to be the one out of his home city of Denham Springs to put them on the map for the people who have never even heard of it or ever taken it seriously for talent. He feels that there is so much talent in the city of Denham Springs and he wants to be able to be the one to make other people's dreams in music come true because he knows what having to scratch and claw just to be heard feels like.
