Andrea Hamilton

Andrea Hamilton was born singing. She was belting songs before she could spell, and performing for everyone who happened by her in Wal-Mart, or graced the suburban Kansas household where she spent her childhood. Nowadays, her life goal is still to make the truest, bravest music possible. Andrea began her professional musical career at age 16 when she became one of Gospel Music Association’s Top 20 New Writers. Since then she’s embarked on many overseas tours and performed across the U.S., based in L.A. She writes with writers that work for Rascal Flatts, MTV, and many more, and has yet to wane in her (possibly obsessive) love for song-craft and production. Andrea has performed in collaboration with countless charities and community benefits as well as written for fundraiser compilations and non-profit film soundtracks. Andrea’s view of life and music expanded wildly when she suddenly became ill while on tour in Asia. After an emergency flight home from Vietnam, she began a long and drawn out season of specialists, hospitals, blood tests, etc! She began to hear the dreaded phrase, “there’s nothing we can do” and was told that she would never sing or feel the same again. Through the confusion, her soul remained brave. She knew they were wrong - that she was born singing and would do it all her days. After much prayer, many ups and downs, and some kinda weird alternative health treatments, ANDREA’S BACK! And she’s in the middle of a mysterious journey deep into healing and hope and bravery - all the things she always longed to make music about.

Never never break out in song
When someone by you is sad and lonely
You could be the irony that takes them over

And don’t you don’t you tap feet in time
If you have music in mind
Someone might think you’re so impatient
They might take it personally

Prechorus:
How oh how can i live when they tell me

Chorus:
Grow up
We need you to scrape the sky for us so stand in line you know you're
Old enough
You gotta cut it out come on get serious (end here 1st ch)
Why don't ya
Just grow up (high)

Verse:
Forget about the dreaming you did
Beneath that pale ugly moon it's just a
Waste of light it's not as bright as silver in the bank

Prechorus:
How oh how can i play when they tell me

Bridge:
Wipe that smile off your face
And be an adult pick up the pace

Why don't ya oh o-oh o-oh
