Trapboi Zulu

Sanele Cyril Sithole (born April 19, 1994), known professionally as Trapboi Zulu, is a South African rapper, songwriter, record producer and graphic designer. He received initial recognition from his single Private Party in 2019, after his performance at Vibe fm's Beach Fest, the single was officially released in August 2021 through Crayey Music in 2021 Trapboi Zulu released 2017 the Aftermath, where he takes fans through the journey of his music career with songs recorded pre 2017. Also in 2021, he released the Album: Crayey Thugging in honoring Crayey Music and to Salute one of his inspirations Young Thug. Trapboi Zulu attracted more following after Slikour played Naija on Slikouronlife radio, a song he was featured in by Tabloyd and Svint. His singles Sulumane released 2021 is hot in the streets, the single made it to Slikouronlife online radio playlist "Have You Heard". Artistry Trapboi is influenced by Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Ricky Rick, Swae Lee, T.I., Young Thug, Travis Scott, Tory Lanez and Abdus.Trapboi uses alot of audio manipulation effects such as Auto-Tune, delays, phasing and harmonic structures, Trapboi's musical style has been characterized as "mellow wavy" During a Radio Interview Trapboi mentioned his style was fictional storytelling. In 2017 Trapboi tried creating a style of Rap called Lazy Rap that didn't go according to plan Discography 2017 the Aftermath (2021) Crayey Thugging (2021) Personal Life Throughout childhood, Sanele's father was mostly absent, his work kept him away, he only got to see his father three times a year for most of his childhood. When his father died he didn not take it well, it led him to depression and anxiety, he struggled with communicating his feelings and he turned to writing and making music as his escape from reality, "Music makes me a better person", he said in an interview. Few years later he lost his mother, he struggled emotionally, financially, and his financial hardship got worse turning to foodless nights and not knowing what to eat the next day, in these difficult times for the rapper, his anxiety got worse, he lost his car, friends and broke up with his girlfriend and stopped making music and began having suicidal thoughts, this phase lasted over a year. Sanele went back to making music and found a way too heal in the process of making music, he says music saved his life, he then took it seriously as he found an escape from creating music.
