Vagabond Angels

Vagabond Angels are an indie rock band fronted by Rikki Lee Travolta and Joey Broman. Based out of Chicago, Vagabond Angels aptly blends diverse influences and produces a unique sound that straddles the lines between rock, pop, and country. At the heart of the band is a simple desire to make good music, no matter the genre. If you like John Mellencamp, Jason Mraz, Darius Rucker, Five For Fighting, The Chainsmokers or Goo Goo Dolls, you’ll love the heartfelt, toe-tapping original songs put on display in Vagabond Angels’ debut album Man On Fire- out now. Joey Broman is a multi-instrumentalist who was a founding member of the recording acts The Kranes and Elephant Gun. He appeared in theatre, choirs, as well as concert-, jazz-, marching-, and pit-bands from elementary school to college. In addition to being a talented performer and songwriter, Joey has acting experience, has also worked as a choir director, church organist, and is currently working as a certified music instructor. Rikki Lee Travolta has appeared nationally headlining productions of such Broadway musicals as Rent, West Side Story, and Bye Bye Birdie. In fact, he was named in the press alongside Donny Osmond and Patrick Cassidy as one of the top three headliners in the world for the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. At heart, however, Rikki Lee always remained loyal to his upbringing on a healthy dose of Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly as a child, and teen years basking in the influences of Garth Brooks, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jon Bon Jovi, and Axl Rose. Rikki Lee's solo album, Broadway Live! Is the highest grossing album in the history of musical theatre specialty label Brahma Bull Audio Entertainment. Rikki Lee has also worked behind the scenes for A&M Records, Red Light Records, and Razor Records.
