Where do you end up when you combine Pharcyde's Bizarre Ride 2, Street Fighter, Metro Boomin, and digital crooning that warrants a nod to Roger himself? Mix in a wry sense of humor and you're in the Manus camp. Originally from Vermont, Manus has planted himself firmly in the Los Angeles scene with a distinctively melodic and unapologetically honest take on rap music - with a penchant for nerd-centric subject matter. Fortunately, you won't need to sink any coin into collectible superhero figures to relate. In 2017, Manus landed 3 placements on Comedy Central's hit comedy series "Broad City," and a role in the hit Netflix series "Bojack Horseman" performing as "Jay-Zebra," appearing on the show's original soundtrack. His track entitled "Great" was featured in the culminating episode of Cazzie David's series "86'd." Working with DMC World Champ DJ and producer Shiftee, as well as Japanese artist Jinmenusagi on "Cop A Goku," Manus continues to curate a deep roster of notable collaborators. Following up his Broad City debut songs with "Dungeons & Dragons" produced by CRNKN, Manus also worked closely with Fool's Gold co-founder Nick Catchdubs on his latest single, "Batshit!" produced by Catchdubs. No sign of a let-up with repeat press on multiple music sites like the "Nest HQ" and features on premiere playlist like “Fresh Finds”, bubbling well over 30k monthly Spotify listeners, Manus seems to be the right guy for the role.
