Sulekha Basumatary born in 28 January 1962. She is from Cirang district of Assam.
Most successful and most popular singer in Bodo language Film Industry. She was also known as 'Denkhwrani' and 'Lata Mangeskar of Bodo '.
She became known to all often singing in the All India Radio in the year 1979. She name was widely known after the first Bodo feature film Alayaron (The dawn), which got Rajat Kamal National Award in 1986.She became extremly popular after the Alayaron film when her melodious songs make people anxious to see her.She reciped the Binai Peace Award in the year 2014.
