About Home and Dry

"Home and Dry" is a song by British music group Pet Shop Boys released in 2002 as the first UK single and the second US single from their album Release. It reached the top 15 on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number 14 and reached number 44 on the US Hot Dance Club Play. One of the B-sides, "Sexy Northener", was also released as a promotional single in the US and peaked at number 15 on the US dance chart, but never received a commercial release. The song is infamous to Pet Shop Boys fans for its unusual video, directed by Wolfgang Tillmans, showing mice running across tracks and eating discarded food at Tottenham Court Road Underground station. There are only several short shots of the duo performing. Many felt this was a strange choice for the video of a lead single, and that because of its commercially unappealing video, the song did not achieve the level of success it could have. The track was remixed the same year by German trance duo Blank & Jones.
