"Baby" is the third single by American R&B singer Ashanti from her debut album. The song was released as the album's third and final single on November 17, 2002. It was written by Ashanti, Irving Lorenzo, Andre Parker, Brad Jordan, Mike Dean and producer 7 Aurelius. It contains musically interpolates of Scarface's "Mary Jane" which was also ghost produced by 7 Aurelius. A remix of the song also features Scarface whom his song is already sampled on. "Baby" reached number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number seven on the U. S. Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart. The song is her fifth top ten entry on the Hot R&B Songs chart. The song only managed to chart at numbers forty-eight and eighty-nine on the Netherlands and Germany charts.more »
