Gustavo Cerati (b. Gustavo Adrián Cerati Clark on August 11, 1959 in Buenos Aires, Argentina), is an Argentine singer-songwriter, composer, and rock producer. He is primarily known as the lead singer, songwriter, and guitarist of Soda Stereo (1982–1997), considered by the critics to be the most important and influential band of Latin Rock. His work inside and outside of Soda Stereo makes him one of the most important figures in Ibero-American rock and an Argentine rock legend.
