It was released in March 1996 as the seventh single from her first album, Whigfield. It became Whigfield's second top-10 hit in Austria and was her first in Australia, becoming the 19th highest-selling single in Australia for 1997. The single was also certified platinum by ARIA. In Spain, "Sexy Eyes" reached number 4.
