RL, whose full name is Robert Lavelle Huggar, is an American R&B singer and songwriter. He gained prominence as the lead singer of the R&B group Next during the late 1990s and early 2000s. RL released his solo debut album, "RL: Ements," in 2002, which featured the hit single "Good Man."
