"Stop Living the Lie" it the debut single by Scottish singer-songwriter David Sneddon. It was released through Mercury Records on 13 January 2003. The single was released on 13 January 2003 and, during its first week, it charted at number one on the UK Singles Chart as well as reaching number five in Ireland. The song was from his UK Albums Chart No. 5 hit, Seven Years – Ten Weeks. Sneddon performed the song on the BBC's Fame Academy show, which he went on to win in December 2002. Both the CD and cassette editions featured the radio edit of the song, a cover of Wet Wet Wet's "Goodnight Girl", and an acoustic version of Elton John's "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", a song he performed live during the Fame Academy final shows. more »

David Sneddon

David Sneddon (born 15 September 1978) is a Scottish singer-songwriter. He has performed on television, radio and theatre. Sneddon won the first BBC series of Fame Academy in 2002 and released his first single "Stop Living the Lie" in 2003 which was a number one hit single selling over 250,000 copies, which made it the 12th highest selling single of 2002. Seven Years – Ten Weeks, Sneddon's album released in April 2003 contained his own compositions and entered the UK Albums Chart at No. 5. He also had three further UK Singles Chart singles - "Don't Let Go" No.3, "Best of Order" No.19, "Baby Get Higher" No.39. His song "Baby Get Higher" has since been a hit on the dance floor for Almighty Records and also a chart hit for Dutch singer VanVelzen in 2006. Sneddon… more »
