In 1995, a re-recording titled "Paninaro '95" was released to a wider market, to promote the B-side compilation Alternative (though only the original version was included on the compilation).

"Paninaro" is a song by the British duo Pet Shop Boys. Originally, it was a B-side to the 1986 single "Suburbia".

The song was inspired by the Italian youth culture of the 1980s known as "Paninari". Paninari were fashion-conscious, materialistic, and were often seen in fast food bars, hence the title "Paninaro".
