Not numb but not feeling too much now
Unfazed on the days I should break down
'Cause I've seen everything
Every coast in every weather
Old eyes getting wise from the growth
I'm too tired to be tied to my woes now
You loved me suffering
Hate to tell you things are better

Met in the summer, started going under, oh
You said it was "then" or "never"
Old wounds recovered, one after another, oh
Hate to tell you things are better

You loved me suffering
But I could take the pain
Sorry, I broke the chain
Hate to tell you things are better
You loved me suffering
But I've seen everything
Sorry, I broke the chain
Hate to tell you things are better
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh

I'm done always giving too much now
'Cause you take everything, turn it around
Twisted up all I said
Every word and every letter

Dead in the summer, got me going under, oh
I said it was "now" or "never"
Old wounds recovered, one after another, oh
Hate to tell you things are better

You loved me suffering
But I could take the pain
Sorry, I broke the chain
Hate to tell you things are better
You loved me suffering
But I've seen everything
Sorry, I broke the chain
Hate to tell you things are better
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh

And I, I wish I
Wish I could tell you things were better
I, I wish I

You loved me suffering
But I could take the pain
Sorry, I broke the chain
You loved me suffering
But I've seen everything
Sorry, I broke the chain
You loved me suffering
But I could take the pain
Sorry, I broke the chain
Hate to tell you things are better
You loved me suffering
But I've seen everything
Sorry, I broke the chain
Hate to tell you things are better
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
