"The Moment of Truth" is a song recorded by the rock band Survivor. It was the first hit single with their new lead singer Jimi Jamison (from Cobra, replacing Dave Bickler due to vocal problems). After making the number one Hit theme song for Rocky III, the band was asked to perform a composed song for the 1984 box office smash hit The Karate Kid. The movie's theme song reached #63 on the Billboard Hot 100 in July 7, 1984 for 7 weeks on the chart. The song was later re-issue on the Vital Signs album in 2009 by Rock Candy.  more »

Survivor is an American rock band formed in Chicago in 1978. The band achieved its greatest success in the 1980s with its arena rock sound, which garnered many charting singles, especially in the United States. The band is best known for its double platinum-certified 1982 hit "Eye of the Tiger", the theme song for the motion picture Rocky III (US #1 for 6 weeks).
