About Free

"Free" is the second solo single by British singer-songwriter Estelle taken from her debut album The 18th Day. The song features a rap from So Solid Crew's Megaman. It preceded the album's release by two weeks. UK get up,
Whole world get up
Estelley baby,

Everybody put ya fists in the air now
(Air now)
Everybody put ya fists in the air now
(Air now air now)

Everybody put your fists in the air now
Bounce like your feet are fitted with springs and ow
It's the start of the start of the New Year
Get out ya boots get ready to start this here
Get out the house do somethin' with yourself
Put down the weed prove somethin' to yourself
This is out to the ladies and gents tryin' to do for them self they ain't waitin' on nobody else
You could say this life is a laugh and I would say it's cool but we're here in the last half
Fix up be real to yourself would ya
Sell yourself for a ring or a belt or a ki of drugs and a nine
Start blazin' 'cause your heavy and no-one can tell you nuthin
You're an idiot, life ain't real you should go to Iraq then talk about real

'Cause we only get one life and then it's gone for good
And you're the only one who seems to be stopping you
So when you step make sure it's true
And take your time I'm telling you
People we need to be

Free, don't think about being less than yourself
Free, negative people never good for your health
Free, don't have to kill no-one
Don't have to steal from no-one
Spread love

Megaman
Ain't nuthin to make a change or two
Nuthin to nuthin to break a change through with you
I see you spittin bout a pent house view
Nothings changed your looking up from a rent house dude
Ballin something that the boys go through
Yo stelly this living is what the boyz half do

Don't think about being less than yourself

Comin' through fresh cut
Stella your free
Your gonna throw these up
Blow seas up, thug a rude boy up
Better stay on ya grind fly til your times up
Make your mind up never gonna be left behind
Time for the course
School times up
The negative the yaa
The hand prevail
Estelle hail mega
We do this for real

Free, don't think about being less than yourself
Free, negative people never good for your health
Free, don't have to kill no-one
Don't have to steal from no-one
Spread love

Free, don't think about being less than yourself
Free, negative people never good for your health
Free, don't have to kill no-one
Don't have to steal from no-one
Spread love

This is a dog eat dog world
But it belongs to the man,
But it's not without the love
Of a woman's understanding
Hurting ourselves for no reason that you have,
Was already yours, anyway,
If you see somebody I want you to smile instead of frown,
Just because they look angry
Don't mean they want to beat you down,
And it, don't cost you nothing
But you pay for a gun,
To kill our sisters and sons,
People we need to be
