About Sabor a Miel

"Sabor A Miel" is a ballade pop song released by Mexican singer Paulina Rubio. It was taken from her debut album La Chica Dorada (1992). The single was released for Capitol Latin in August 1993 in US and the spring of these year in Latin America. The song was written by José Ramón Flórez and Cesar Valle and produced by Miguel Blasco. Rubio's success in her home country resulted in song's released deal without official music video and even was number one on the airplay radio in Mexico. This release, also a major success, reached the top ten in Argentina and Colombia and Peru. In the United States was numer twenty-two on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks. A promotional unofficial music video inspired in the Middle Ages was released in early 1993 only to Mexican special television show, including the new jack swing song "Sangre Latina". Considered something of a gem, Rubio perform "Sabor A Miel" (as part of medleys) during her shows and according to critics, one of his best interpretations, vocally speaking.

Entre tus brazos fui mujer
Y por primera vez
Descubrí cómo era ser
En cuerpo y alma siempre fiel

Era tan fácil alcanzar
La luna junto a ti
Que hoy que ya no estás aquí
No vale la pena vivir

Tú, mi piel salada
Tú, sabor a miel
Tú, huella en mi almohada
Matándome de sed
Yo, paloma herida
Voy por la vida buscándote

Cierro los ojos a la luz
Y busco en el azul
El recuerdo cada vez
Que el mundo me hace perder piel

Quema tu boca igual que ayer
Y tu respiración
Pone loca sin querer
La sangre de mi corazón

Tú, mi piel salada
Tú, sabor a miel
Tú, huella en mi almohada
Matándome de sed
Yo, paloma herida
Voy por la vida buscándote

Tú, mi piel salada
Tú, sabor a miel
Tú, huella en mi almohada
Matándome de sed
Yo, paloma herida
Voy por la vida buscándote
