Superheroes and outer space
Leaves me feeling out of place
Times move on and so the tastes
Entire landscapes get erased

I miss the tumbleweeds and
Gun fights galore
Why don't they make good cowboy movies anymore

Where have all the horses gone
No jangling spurs or silver guns
No  tense words over poker games
No lasso tricks or campfire flames
Just ironic allegory
Instead of honest cowboy stories
Lend me this brief escape
Before I'm sent back out on the range

I took my seat in the back row
And passed a bottle with some sailors
And now I feel a little nauseous
After all the 3D trailers
There's no need for clever writing
The universal language is fighting
Trip and fall or do a face plant
It's funny in any accent
