Tried to wipe away the surface noise of life
Keep my days pristine with no ticks or pops
But I hit the end of side 1 and I just stopped
The hum of being ungrounded
Were all my fears unfounded?

However careful I was, the grooves wore out
Till the dust and grit became what it’s all about
I was like a symphony condensed into one page
A comedy played on a tragic stage
But thanks for getting me in touch with my rage
You completed my palette
Alone, I couldn’t have it
