(Sample: Many people think that the best way to escape war is to dwell upon it's horror. They flaunt the grisly photographs before their eyes. But how would it help us if we were attacked or invaded ourselves?) You feel the air, for the sense of calm that's now gone. It's quiet now, but you know that that will not last long. You know that time will bring, a storm that's still coming, And when it gets to you, you will try to stay strong. From far away, you hear the roar of thunder. The haunting sound, of bombs falling without number. The sky is turning red, planes flying overhead, you search for anything that can give you shelter. Time passes by so slow. You have nowhere to go. Never asking for help, You want no one to know. You told me this war is fought endlessly, Long enough for you to see... Your world is a warzone, a struggle you try to hide, Living under fire, always scared and terrified, You put up barriers, hiding all you fought inside, A victim of the war you try to keep from sight. You watch a great inferno, Spreading unchecked, burning everything that you know, It burns your world away, like it has every day, With everything you see, lit by a sickly glow. It doesn't stop, and in the crossfire you stay, You try again, to hold the bombardment at bay, Staying firm where you stood, built walls of clay and wood, Hoping they would grant you shelter for the day. But they come crashing down. Debris covers the ground. Bombs falling all around. No one can hear their sound. You told me this war is fought endlessly, Long enough for you to see... Your world is a warzone, a struggle you try to hide, Living under fire, always scared and terrified, You put up barriers, hiding all you fought inside, A victim of the war you try to keep from sight. (Sample: Many people think that the best way to escape war is to dwell upon it's horror. They flaunt the grisly photographs before their eyes. But how would it help us if we were attacked or invaded ourselves?) (Sample 2: It was my constant effort to preserved them, and to end this savage conflict honorably, and a minimum sacrifice of life. It's growing bloodshed has caused me the deepest anguish and anxiety.)
