His name was Danny Keen

Of how he plunged into the sea
He was a-bookin' down the line
His load was a-haulin' low
Well Danny traveled mighty fast

He was practically a saint
And he always ate his peas

A drunken cycle driver
Had done slammed into his rig
Hit hard enough to push him off the cliff
And the cliff was awful big
Danny fell into the ocean
His big shiny rig and him (plop)
But he was a real good swimmer
But in a truck it's hard to swim
Oh Danny died at sea that night
But a good thing came about
That ol' critter was healed
Just by the love in Danny's heart
Well buddies, that mangy ol' opossum
Went on to become the President of the United States of America
And he had an island built to commemorate Danny Keen
The bravest driver this world's ever seen
And I looked down
Saw my new eyes standin' at my feet
