Tall Paul

"Tall Paul" is a song recorded by Annette Funicello and written by the Sherman Brothers. It marked the first time that a female singer reached a top ten slot for a rock and roll single. It also spotlighted Annette from amongst the other Mouseketeers on the Mickey Mouse Club and paved the way for the movie career which followed. Walt Disney personally took notice of the string of chart toppers which the Sherman Brothers were writing for Annette and subsequently asked the songwriters to work for him exclusively. The Sherman Brothers went on to win two Oscars for Mary Poppins several years later. "Tall Paul" was credited to Annette and the Afterbeats and reached #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1959. I'm trying to climb the ladder
I'm trying to climb the ladder
Get all accounts fatter
Improve investment data
I'm trying to climb the ladder
I'm trying to climb the ladder
What shoes I wear don't matter
Fam I'm tryna climb the ladder
I'm trying to climb the ladder
I'm trying to climb the ladder
Get all accounts fatter
Improve investment data
I'm trying to climb the ladder
I'm trying to climb the ladder
What car I drive don't matter
Fam I'm tryna climb the ladder
Someone said the other day
I ain't too street no more
Correct pal, quit the streets
To make sure that my seed can grow
Left the state collecting checks
That pay no local freebie flow
Back on planes to make
Home runs and hits Suzuki Ichiro
Never left still see me in
The city greeting niijii bro's
It's just that the old me wasn't
Pretty simply seized these roles
Living gritty was a pity
So I sought to see zero's
Still object to flexing bread
Cause jealousy it kills hero's
Doing the griddy like JJ
When paydays bring me deniro
Bringing that melee if they say
Goons are knocking at my door
Homie don't play that I stay strapped
Case I gotta free a soul
The little I have ain't worth
Risking your life for I promise though
No flashiness or material
Riches for my people
We're putting every dime in the market
To speed up these inflows
The need to feed my glow with
Freedom's ease from cheese and dough
I'm talking bread and cheddar
Chips and chicken like beast mode
I'm trying to climb the ladder
I'm trying to climb the ladder
Get all accounts fatter
Improve investment data
I'm trying to climb the ladder
I'm trying to climb the ladder
What shoes I wear don't matter
Fam I'm tryna climb the ladder
I'm trying to climb the ladder
I'm trying to climb the ladder
Get all accounts fatter
Improve investment data
I'm trying to climb the ladder
I'm trying to climb the ladder
What car I drive don't matter
Fam I'm tryna climb the ladder
Self educated investor
Engaged in dad rap
Many hats, shifting and
Changing my field like scat backs
From certifying shooters with
Ruger's to earn their carry permit
To b-day party appearances
Eating cherry sherbet
Soulful inspirational
Speaking engagements share
The sermon of a pagan Native
Creative who made his way to purpose
Stay in my lane it's verbiage
Been making my wage through service
My way's the gift of gab
It won't change yeah
My name's a merchant
Something in real estate
Is likely next to write the checks
Until my first deal is made
It might be best to slight the rest
Quiet dog bite hard
And stand the test of time
I attest to the flex of my art
To be the best to rhyme
Got that slime in my arteries
It's a part of me
Rhyme book thick as Cardi B
Slappers like if she farted G
Just know whether flow or
Other entrepreneurial acts
I'm trying to follow paths to
Wealth like tutorial maps
I'm trying to climb the ladder
I'm trying to climb the ladder
Get all accounts fatter
Improve investment data
I'm trying to climb the ladder
I'm trying to climb the ladder
What shoes I wear don't matter
Fam I'm tryna climb the ladder
I'm trying to climb the ladder
I'm trying to climb the ladder
Get all accounts fatter
Improve investment data
I'm trying to climb the ladder
I'm trying to climb the ladder
What car I drive don't matter
Fam I'm tryna climb the ladder
