Though all is silent the volume grows
And becomes so loud and unbearable
The whole foundation becomes unstable
You try to grab a hand, but unable
The person you once knew now crumbles
And blows away with the wind
That roaring fire now only ashes
You take a leap, but the gravity attaches
You try to fake it, but it still shows
All your efforts decompose
People will tell you to find a purpose
but the whole thing seems just like a circus
Working to buy things that are worthless
Trying to win a pointless contest
And what will I get if I win
The air turns sour and water to acid
The colors so bright now monochromatic
They'll give you drugs and false pretenses
Just fill your prescription, stop asking questions
Some find purpose through old religions
Or sex and violence on new subscriptions
Is this all just predispositioned
Can what I'm trying to say be written
But the pen is out of ink
