Wasted my life by drafting plans that I never made happen

I hear a voice saying "a storm is on the way"

I keep a steady foot on the gas
I see a set of lights over the pass
The check engine light has never stopped me before
So I don't know why I'd start now
I'll carry on

I found myself inside a ditch next to the corpse of my car
Instead of seeking help, I'm staring at the stars
Singing melodies of change I have no intentions to make
I'll dust myself off, contemplate which road to take

Cause maybe there is life in my bullshit
I'm trying to find where it will fit
All these things that I make in the dark
Will find their way to the light some day
