Turning a cold and otherwise bleak surface

And since the thought of you at times has me going in circles
It's safe to say my world revolves around you
My friends get sick of me and my constant contemplations of constellations
But I say it's just the thought of you that makes me starry-eyed

With you I often find my mind lost in other galaxies
Wanting to explore realms of relationships I have yet to discover
See this brotha wants to be your astronaut
But I promise ass is not the basis of my intentions
See, love's recipe is one many attempt to replicate
Yet they don't have the patience to let it bake
They'd rather microwave their relationships
Instead of taking it step by step
So I suggest we keep orbiting and sorting out the issues that arise
When guys like me stumble upon their destiny

One word from your lips or the thought of your kiss
Makes me blush redder than Jupiter's spot
My depiction of you defies description
I've asked other poets who can't describe
And scribes who search in between the lines
Who still can't find the perfect combination or correlation
Of consonants and vowels
To express the excess amount of intenseness that this muscle beneath my rib cage pounds
At the mere sound of your name
The games ended when I entered your atmosphere
I wanna make your smile glow so bright that you become my solar system
Then no one will have to ask why I call you my sunshine
