Constantly parading tributes you cannot know tears to

So they've taken advantage of your absence

You've always been dying before someone is born
Left broken. torn into scars
Scars wiping into wounds
As borrowed wounds engulf you even more

I've always wondered
Why your golden shadow sleeps beneath designated slums
Slums fragmented by design
Design with too much power

Many times I've been asked
What made you drown with the shore
My young sailor who came by defense at night
Maybe you lost voice waiting daylight
Or found home from an unknown hand

Many times I've been asked
How did you get here
That you kiss thy father with the morning odor in your mouth

You are swimming with whales
The waves over the night is just unjust
But you've been gone to sleep in the tide
Just when i thought you're up till midnight
Ofainɛ where have you been fooled into

Your survival is in struggle
Every four years you give birth to nothing
Or maybe the leader gambled our people
Or when we throw ourselves in silence
We are cheated
And castled against an empty love
