Uh, I thank the Lord for my mother Too young to understand but why every summer She ain't want me outside when it was hot, boy Influenced by the gangsters just standing on the block, boy Drive by, another shot boy Nine o'clock news, she crying over her lost boy And she ain't wanna cry over no lost boy I was a juvenile and I couldn't listen to Hot Boys Got a lil older, Dipset on the poster Rap City on the tv, volume I had to lower Never felt this shit before, feeling I couldn't ignore Got introduced to the fame, god damn it, I wanted more uh My momma loves me, but rap albums she wouldn't buy em Had to sneak and listen to "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" This dream I had intensifying, it was perfect timing On the horizon like a sunset on the perfect island, uh Growing up, Paul was a compassionate kid He was sensitive and always protected those who he held close to his heart Paul was an only child which was difficult sometimes Also, he was rather quiet and somewhat shy as a kid So it came as a big surprise when he decided to pursue a music career Paul would draw amazing pictures when he was younger He had such a way of explaining a drawing until it became real to me He loved drawing for his grandmother who encouraged him to be his best at it He had such a great imagination which I think is the beginning of creativity Paul has taken risks, ignored doubts And I'm sure faced fears I got a million-dollar dream, I shoulda been on Dreamville It's a reoccurring dream, I'm at a couple hundred mil I just wanna hear people scream, and make them flood the street Just to hear a nigga speak, wanna know how King feel Niggas taking shots, pissed off, they broke the seal huh Knew I would be the man, like way before the deal With my million-dollar chick life with her so surreal She woke up like this, she ain't got nothing to conceal huh And all eyes on us, I feel the peer pressure 30, 000 feet in the air, I feel the lear pressure Land somewhere with year-round, great weather Trust me, I ain't going back broke, nigga that's Heath Ledger Interacting with these fans I thought I'll never have Pictures with the peace sign, can I please have your autograph Flashing lights, just shade them with the Ray Bans A million-dollar dream please don't wake me up from this trance Paul could recite the Lord's Prayer at two years old He stood before an audience and recited it without fear He sang "I Want It That Way" by The Backstreet Boys around nine years old And that's when I noticed that he paid attention to songs on the radio And had an ear for music I love that Paul is passionate I believe his passion will give him a reason to keep learning And working toward his goal Being passionate about his dream, he writes from his heart And the determination to succeed is definitely rooted deep in his soul Secondly, I love that Paul is pursuing music Because it makes him happy, it makes him thrive My advice to Paul and to anyone Is to pursue your passion or passions Always be true to yourself, never give up And do not be afraid to fail
