I'd wean myself off but I just can't stop

But coffee's so expensive I couldn't transition
So I'm low-key broke with a caffeine addiction
And I know I'd sleep better if I'd just stop
But no I just had to have had a cold brew at 4 o'clock.
It's 11 pm and I'm on my phone
I lift up the remote and say one more episode
I've been watching Disney+ I can't ever get enough
I'd go to sleep at a good time but it's too tough
I'm exhausted all day but awake at night
Something's wrong with my internal clock 'cause this ain't right
I'm playing rain sounds 'cause they're supposed to help you sleep
But what about rain's supposed to comfort me?
I'll watch my favorite show to wind down before bed but
Then I get sucked in when was the last time I read?
Like a book, what happened to that? Where did it go?
I used to read for fun before my head hit the pillow. Oh no
I started out young, so why would I stop?
If I'm planning a meeting I'll just go to the coffee shop
My family got me started, so they're the ones I blame
I'll pay six dollars for a latte in a cup with my name
