Words fail me from wee fistfuls of pills
Time leaves me looking ever up the hill
Too thick the fog to see over the peak

Dark cloud stays whether needed or not
I'm a shell can't tell don't know but I live there a lot
Too high the hill roll down the other side

I've come too far to let it tear me down
I lived in misery before
I fought my way through highs and lows for years
Fueled by fear with stubborn self-medicated goo

Try as we're told to eat sleep and bathe
Hydrate be active kind and behave
But piles of puppies binge watch with ice cream
Fuzzy baby duck clips
And tacos for breakfast are also good things

Give me ocean waves and mountaintops
And waterfalls and autumn leaves
It is the pulse of the earth my friends
The spinning ride there's a way through
To what I need to you

I fail me we all do it's alright
I choose to keep looking for the light
Dark as it is
