Dear Visitors
During this time I was in a broken state of mind
I couldn't move and I couldn't even utilize this voice of mine
I don't remember how some of these interactions went
But I know that you all were heaven sent
Going out of your way
To make sure you fulfilled all the things for which others would pray
Showing me love even when there wasn't much I could say
So I would like to take this time to say thank you
We all have our own struggles
They just come in different ways
But the greatest struggle of all is having no sunshine
To console you following your darkest days
You all were that sunlight
You all were the driving force that motivated me to keep going
To stay alive
Maya Angelou meets Jesus And I rise
I say all of this to say
You could be alive one minute and then dead for a few days
But on Sunday by the time the family has gathered Together for dinner
You will return as much more than just an imperfect sinner
I basked in my imperfections
Sincerely yours
