Brian Dillon

Brian Dillon (also spelled Bryan Dillon) (1830 – 17 August 1872) was an Irish republican leader and a member of the Irish Republican Brotherhood. He was a central figure in the Cork Fenian movement and after being arrested in 1865 for felony treason, was found guilty and sentenced to ten years' penal servitude. Since his health was poor, he was given amnesty after four-and-a-half years. He returned to Cork (to an enthusiastic welcome) but died eighteen months later. more »

Open my eyes to zero light
Is it day or is it night?
I don't know and I don't care
Feelin shades of hangover blue
Wondering where are you?
Took a look at the internet
Saw some shit I'd rather forget
Thought about using but it passed
Thought about getting up
It didn't last
I dreamt I kept walking thru doorways again
Then you snuck me in thru the back, thru the kitchen
To a room filled with the blurred faces of strangers
Chopping off arms just shake their hands
Burning all the bridges just to make amends
Asked me if I'll ever come again
...it depends
So pour some Tylenol out for the ones we've lost
They melt each morning in the winter frost
With each hazy passing thought
The headache fades away
Through all these memories decay
The headache fades away
The headache fades away
