The hollow eyes that tell of capitulation
This rift that forms into the ground in front of me
Seems to be getting wider still, the longer I chose to wait
Mistrust seeps in, erodes the earth beneath
The only way for me to cross is to take a leap of faith
Trading the fears that brings us down
For the fears that set us free
Find a way to conquer doubt
Or accept a life not lived fully
Driven by the thought of not missing out
It was never supposed to be easy
