Blanketed within the shelter, body and soul drifts into the why
As the clouds roll by and voices speak, no truth in the existence of life

The fields of roses all are black, what I saw was the end

Laced with the blood of fear, inside it drowns my soul
Eating the life like a cancer, forever devoted, never let me go
Grow within the blackness, that buries me beneath the ground
Gaze into the eyes of death, emptiness is all that's found

And as I say farewell, to the life that I lived before
I fear not the memories, I know they can't hurt me anymore
Within these spoken words, the truth never makes a sound
I walk with a rose in hand, in fire I can never drown

The light of heaven, never before graced upon me
Reflecting in the mirror, it's not my face I see
And as I go down, one last time with the sin
All that remains is the pain, from the hidden within
