The What is Your Purpose Challenge
The only question, as far as your purpose is concerned, is will you own it
Will you admit everything that you really want in your life
Are you going to tell the rest of the world who you are
And that you expect a certain life for yourself and your family
Will you accept your role in other peoples' lives
Will you step up and fill that role for people who will value and support the work that you do
When you can confidently fill in the blanks of your I am a blank who blanks for blank statement Choose a platform to announce it on
Take the time to think through what position you are in
And what you are comfortably able to offer people
Know your limits and don't promise what you don't have and can not give
Decide what your process of helping other people looks like
Is it something that you have to meet in person to do
Is it something that you can make a video about and share it
What days and what times can you give to this work
Stick to this schedule so that this work stays convenient enough for you to keep doing it
If you need to be paid for what you do, decide how much you need to be paid
And what is the best way for you to receive the money
I would never tell someone exactly what to charge for what they do
But here's a simple thought
Would you be able to pay your least expensive bills
With the profit from what you charge one customer
At the price you charge for what you do
How many jobs do you have to do or how many products do you have to sell
To pay your smallest bill
Keep in mind that the profit is what is left after you subtract everything
It costs you to do the job from how much you get paid to do the job
If it cost you ten dollars in gas to go do a job and you get paid forty dollars
Then you only made thirty dollars profit to do the job
Which bill do you want to be able to pay each time you do a job or sell a product
How many times do you have to do a job to have enough profit to pay the bill you want to pay
When the answers to these questions are reasonable, that's a good place to start
