And the day was wrapping up
We were laughing and joking with my brother

But The way i held you was too familiar

I felt like this was my change to apologize for my neglect 
And as i look at you, your smile was telling 
"It's okay, and I forgive you" Only of it were true
As we turn around every one else left so It's just you, me
And the sunset through the city

The sun made your skin glow brighter
Made your hair shine lighter
And your eyes sparkle brighter than the strike of ten lighters
This is what we could've been if I took the chance to aim higher
But instead  we were marinating in apple cider vinegar
I just hope in time we can make it sweet enough before it's too bitter

My alarm went off before i could kiss you goodbye
And I woke up in the same place i always do
