Etta Place

Etta Place (b. c. 1878, d. ?) was a companion of the American outlaws Robert LeRoy Parker, alias Butch Cassidy and Harry Alonzo Longabaugh, alias Sundance Kid. The three were members of the outlaw gang known as Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch. She was principally the companion of Longabaugh. Little is known about her; both her origin and her fate remain unknown. The Pinkerton Detective Agency described her, in 1906, as having, "classic good looks, 27 or 28 years old, 5'4" to 5'5" [163–165 cm] in height, weighing between 110 and 115 lb [50 and 52 kg], with a medium build and brown hair." more »

Well it all fell apart when I opened that door
And you came stumbling in
A hot kind of mess in a knock em dead dress
And three sheets to the wind
I was stupid, young and hungry for love
But you had something else in mind
And I was fool enough to believe you true
When you swore that you'd be mine
The things I've done, the places I've been
Have made me into the man that I am
I won't apologize, I won't take it back
You're my reason for seeking the truth
I worry for the world, but I'm thankful for the work
It's a job somebody's got to do
The kind of thing I could only take on
After loving you
I stumbled around, I was lost and found
A way of living that suits me fine
For a restless heart, that's been torn apart
By women and the wicked divine
Ain't a drop of poison touched my lips now
Going on four long years
I'm gonna take my chance
With a little bit of luck
There's a place for me to go from here
The things I've done, the places I've been
Have made me into the man that I am
I won't apologize, I won't take it back
You're my reason for seeking the truth
I worry for the world, but I'm thankful for the work
It's a job somebody's got to do
The kind of thing I could only take on
After loving you
The things I've done, the places I've been
Have made me into the man that I am
I won't apologize, I won't take it back
You're my reason for seeking the truth
I worry for the world, but I'm thankful for the work
It's a job somebody's got to do
The kind of thing I could only take on
After loving you
The kind of thing I could only take on
After loving you
