You ever been down a path Thinking this one is gonna be your last Going nowhere, can't find your way out Only walls around, you're stuck to the ground Looking at the clock it doesn't stop It keeps on turning and your time is gone Your looking for the key to the lock But you're scared blocks don't always unblock It's hard to be in that situation You don't what to feel your thinking what's the occasion Why do I eat Why do I sleep Why do I wake up in the morning Why have a dream You might think I'm being dramatic But let me rap a little about it Think about the thing you love to do the most and when you did it last Now repeat, repeat it, repeat it till your out of gas Do it once more, like you'll never get to do it again There's no end in sight but trust me there's an end And when the time comes you'll need a break But when that time comes that's where the quake begins First it's cool, I don't need to do it all the time I don't need a hobby, sometimes it's just fine to grind Get the work done, get it out of the way Live your life making gains, productive all day Your making moves but suddenly it doesn't feel the same No matter what you do it's ripped away Everything's gone in the blink of an eye You no longer hear the song The one that kept you going through it all The one that made sure you didn't fall Nothing but a hollow body of darkness No light in sight like the virgins you ran out of oil You've done nothing but toil Now here it comes You need it You need something to get it all going again You're missing a piece of the puzzle, a true friend The one that was always there no matter what You can't seem to catch a break and you tried a lot You try to reinvigorate, reinstate, what you had before No matter what it takes Nothing you do seems to match up To what it was like when you had it all the time You delete, you throw away That's it that's your day Nothing seems to change A cycle of a monotonous mental state You find a corner and you lock away The very thing that scares you, you gravitate How the hell does that work You try to stay calm you try to stay awake You just wish it would all go away And you say, you said it would be back again Is it true Was he right talking to the past at 3am at night It's 3 am right now while I'm writing this But the difference is I'm doing what i like But see in that moment in that time I had no guarantee I wasn't feeling right They say nothing is forever well you could've fool me It's like I lost my heartbeat Luckily for me I was saved by the pieces and a muse Now I regained my freedom I'm on the loose I wasn't in a great place I felt I had nothing to lose Will it happen again It prolly will That's the unfortunate life that we live in Will I be prepared probably not But will I be this scared probably ya It's the very uncertainty that comes with it Even if know it's unforgiving You just gotta try and take it in strides And just hope You'll never stay down a path Thinking this one is gonna be your last Going nowhere, can't find your way out Only walls around, you're stuck to the ground Looking at the clock it doesn't stop It keeps on turning your time is gone Your looking for the key to the lock But you're scared blocks don't always unblock Thanks for coming to my TedTalk I just had to get it all off A line I said as a joke to a friend Became story that I just had to tell
