No one wants to NOT succeed
They always WANT to be successful and never fail
People are also extremely envious, jealous
And therefore basically hate to see people doing better than them
Especially in areas of the same nature as them
So, maybe they're doubtful of you
Because they can't see themselves doing it, and thus can't picture you doing it

As I take a step back I start to take it in
The world around me, it's apparent yea its evident
The cards against your potential with these comparisons
Until you make it to the top and then you're heaven sent
Now I'm not perfect, do you think of me as any lesser
Before you judge me, look in the mirror on your dresser
Quick to write me off
And doubt all my endeavors
But a diamond in making can't make it without the pressure
Uncertainty's a thing of victory
Listen now stick with this
Many see your dreams can't convene their thoughts to picture this
They step into your shoes
Knowing they're set to lose
So they take the burden of failure assume it on to you
And so that doubt inside they're mind is only amplified
By their lack of ability to exemplify
Success and talent and a
Natural balance
But it's hard not to start
With worries that imma miss my mark

But everything is fine
Sometimes I need to take the time and keep that lil reminder
The same way with them pictures on your shelf inside the binder
For a later date to reminisce, them younger years was kinder
Back when your kid the only thing you had was dreams
Hoping in the future you'd be the cover of the magazines
But now the future is the present scene
And now you wonder if you'll make to the destination that you schemed
Reaching the climax in this part of my story
From here I either fall back or reach and find the glory
People around you will doubt you cuz in their eyes your ordinary
They see you every Saturday like Tom and Jerry
But I can see my future and it's way better
A breadwinner with fancy dinners talking bruschetta
I wear that doubt up on my shoulders like that Christmas sweater
And a toast to my haters cuz they know I'm contender

Or maybe they just doubt your skills you know
It's hard for people to comprehend the possibility of someone spectacular
Or enhanced in abilities far superior than their own living among them
Extraordinary people come from extraordinary places
So it's not possible for someone they see everyday in high school to make it big
