At the time I didn't question cuz I loved the attention she was given
That moment might've altered the way I looked at commitment
I just know this single life is hitting and a relationship can't be predicted
I know that's kinda twisted but that's just the way I lived it
Then I entered in this world where I no longer felt restricted
My cautious way living out the window let's get busy
That when rejection hit me and I turned into menace
Now I'm about enter mind of women what's your digits
That might've been my fall into this darker way of living
And now I have my interest in this girl and her friend
She's a lady of man but I wasn't tryna hear it
Now the cycle continues
Started making selections from a menu
No escaping the emptiness I was feeling
Then it broke down my spirit
Ties to the soul were wicked
Now I'm just here reflecting I finally made the connection

You see we have no way of predicting how much things from our past
Effect the present condition we're living in
Or even how much the present will impact our future
But I believe my story was pre-written

Hold up as I exit this roller coaster

My values decreasing but I can't see it

The meaning of life I started seeking
Made my exit from the world I once knew cuz it was needed
I needed connection to something deeper
Started reaching for the Father in Heaven to come release me
I guess it was apart the plan connect the pieces
My return was like the prodigal sons and now I'm seeing

Man, I reflect on the life I live
Then I read about the prodigal son
And I began to think and wonder
What if the prodigal son was prevented from leaving home
What if he never lived the life that he lived
He never would've felt what it was like to return home
He might've died lost
