Stop And Listen

The easy, fast & fun way to learn how to sing: 30DaySinger.com
Oh so many years ago Days were longer truth be told They'd go on and on As we'd play our songs Sing harmony till dawn Every Day we'd play the street Busking music it was sweet People filled the case With coins they gave And with a Smile moved on I would give a quarter just to be that boy again Playin' out and singin' with my friend Guitars on the corner by the bend And passersby would stop and listen Victory Music Wednesday night Coffee shop and open mic Music brought us to it We formed a duet The voices blending tight We played "The Other Side of the Tracks" To Puyallup we'd go back Is it there today? Did it move away? Fall into the cracks? I would give a quarter just to be that boy again Playin' out and singin' with my friend Guitars, open mics and coffee man And passersby would stop and listen My friend he met a girl at school They rode off into the world Though I strummed on , felt that magic gone Life, it seemed so cruel I joined a band and hit the road Left behind my heavy load That too went away Now I'm hear to say You can't go back when you're old But, I would give a quarter Just to be that boy again Playin' out and singin' with my friend Guitars, voices, playin' in the band And passersby would stop and listen
