There was a town that I used to like
I showed you the ups and downs of a lifetime
Didn't even notice how time went by

Now I'm begging could I have the keys
I'm gonna leave by any means
Yeah I thought I made a big mistake

I didn't wanna leave
I didn't wanna be

Every now and then I'm coming back to town
Every now and then I'm busy feeling down
I tend to miss all the shimmer in clouds
Every now and then I'm going back to town
I feel the quiet rush in the park so loud
Would you please meet me on the way around?

Then you said you'd never let go
Be the one in the morning and so
Somehow I'm feeling the promise has died

I guess I'd leave your side anyway
You didn't say sorry on a new year's day
Yeah I think I'll make a big mistake

I didn't wanna leave
Didn't wanna be

Every now and then I'm coming back to town
Every now and then I'm busy feeling down
I tend to miss all the shimmer in clouds
Every now and then I'm going back to town
I feel the quiet rush in the park so loud
Would you please meet me on the way around?

Every now and then I'm coming back to town
Every now and then I'm busy feeling down
I tend to miss all the shimmer in clouds
Every now and then I'm going back to town
I feel the quiet rush in the park so loud
Would you please meet me on the way around, yeah

Every now and then I'm coming back to town
Every now and then I'm busy feeling down
I tend to miss all the shimmer in clouds
Every now and then I'm going back to town
I feel the quiet rush in the park so loud
Would you please meet me on the way around?

There was a town that I used to like
I showed you the ups and downs of a lifetime
Didn't even notice how time went by
Now I'm begging could I have the keys
I'm gonna leave by any means
Yeah I thought I made a big mistake
