Met a friend who can play the guitar
In college who was better than me
Fast forward, two years later
My classmate's banging a beat on a book
A familiar pattern

And a friend who can play the bass
We've decided to form a band
And play cover songs at the Square
We practiced rarely
School kept us really busy
Makes me sad and queasy

I just wanted to strum my guitar
Sing in front of a crowd
Where is my band?
Come in time
Let's rehearse our songs
Let us give our all
Tell the world our story

November in '11
We joined a band competition
End in loser's place
And in the coming months
My friend will return to the States
He said his time was up

We've made an album
Remembrance of all the times we've shared
All the fun was there
A band of four becomes one
It's not the same
But it's love for music that keeps me going
