Well, it all seemed to happen the day I was born, I was trodding the path of the wretched and worn. Deep in my side, you can see a small thorn; Twisted by memories and people I've known. Now we're so close to dying that we can't be lying About things we've kept in our heads, like the sins we regret, things we'll never forget. The lives that we'll lead when we're dead. Even you can't save us now, the clock is a minute to midnight. I won't let you down, I will not spend my last minute in vain. On the day that I heard they had burst through the curtain, There was only one fact that I knew was for certain. If you held out your hands and fell to your knees, it won't make it harder to turn down your pleas. Now, just go with the motions and flow like the oceans as millions of truths turn to lies. And it won't be hard finding, you can't see the silver lining When the sun's blotted out of the sky. Even you can't save us now, the clock is a minute to midnight. I won't let you down, I will not spend my last minute in vain. Will you promise not to leave me? Abandon or deceive me? Even though we won't have time, theres still reason to the rhyme! Bombs just like tears fall like rain from the sky. I can hear angels calling, the sound makes me cry. So I tell them to sit back and wait while I try to spend my last minute, savor this last breath of life. I will not spend my last minute in vain.
