All that I know, is a shadow that rolls down the road, well out of sight
No sign of it’s source, neither light nor the force that gives it shape and size

Many years ago i was young and alone
Just looking for someone to be kind
I met a soul, walked with me slow, till she ran and left me behind

As the winds blows by and the shadow rolls further away and I think to myself, what am I chasing

I came to hold onto you like a rope on the bridge that we built together
