Seems like I've been through it all, I know what it feels like to fall.
Life slows down to a crawl, no doors on the wall, and no one to call.
And still have God on my side, out of the dark there’s a light.
To deal with the struggle inside and put up a fight, I swallow my pride.
I had to shoulder the blame, had to get over the shame.
Just to start stokin’ the flame that no one can tame, to blow up this game.
There was no shoulder to lean, There was no code on the team.
To think that you’d do for me what I’d do for you it must be a dream.
Now that I dried up the tears, where do I go to from here.
Done wasted so many years, Will the air ever be clear.
I know they don’t have a clue, I know they don’t know the truth.

Keeping my distance from fakes, brushing the dirt off my shoulder.
I do not follow up snakes, I stand on the word of Jehovah.
